Sioux Falls Man Faces Several Charges Including Eluding

Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man who was riding a motorcycle faces a laundry list of charges including eluding an officer after a pursuit in Lyon County on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies arrested 33-year-old Bradley M. Thooft of Sioux Falls on several charges, including eluding – speed 25 over the limit, failure to provide proof of security against liability (that’s driving without liability insurance), fraudulent registration, operating a non-registered vehicle, reckless driving, no valid license, speeding, failure to obey stop sign, and passing in a no-passing zone.

The deputy initially attempted to stop Thooft on a speeding charge, but he eluded the deputy.

A report from a private citizen provided deputies with a location. Sheriff’s officials report that a search warrant was executed at this residence, where the motorcycle was discovered and Thooft was arrested. He was booked into the Lyon County Jail, where at last report, he remained.
