Ireton, Iowa — An Ireton woman has been arrested on a sex abuse of a child charge.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 19-year-old Breanna Jansma of Ireton is accused of sexually assaulting a child. She was arrested on Friday.
Jansma was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison.
She faces a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, August 26th.
Jansma was booked into the Sioux County Jail in Orange City and was released the next day after posting a $10,000 bond.
