Ireton Man Taken To Hospital After Accident Near Sioux Center

Sioux Center, Iowa — An Ireton man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Sioux Center on Tuesday, October 22.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 4:45 p.m., 27-year-old Julio Santis of Ireton was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on 410th Street, two miles west of Sioux Center. He reported when he swerved to miss an animal on the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch and rolled.

The Sioux Center Ambulance took him to Sioux Center Health.

The Chevrolet sustained approximately $3,200 in damage.

The sheriff’s office reports that the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Fire Department, and Sioux Center Ambulance Squad assisted with the response to the accident, which, they say remains under investigation.
