Lester, Iowa — A Larchwood man was taken to the hospital and was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital after a motorcycle accident near Lester on Wednesday night, September 13th.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, they believe Matthew Alons of Larchwood was riding his 1997 Honda motorcycle northbound on Dove Avenue when he lost control and the motorcycle entered the east ditch. They tell us Alons was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained what they call “major injuries.”
The report says the Lyon County Ambulance took Alons to the Avera Rock Rapids Hospital, where he was airlifted to Sioux Falls.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office tells us the Lester Fire and Rescue Squad, the Lyon County Ambulance Squad, and Trackside Towing assisted with the response to the accident.
