Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Larchwood man faces two felony counts after an incident in that town earlier this winter.
According to the criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court, 52-year-old Mark Wade Warner of Larchwood is accused of entering the home of a woman in Larchwood without her consent. The home was occupied at the time, and according to the complaint, he is alleged to have entered the home for no valid reason. It also alleges Warner forced himself on the woman.
For allegedly entering the home for no valid reason, Warner is charged with first-degree burglary, a class B felony. For the alleged sex act against the woman’s will, he is charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony.
Warner was arrested when he turned himself in on Thursday, February 17th, and faces an initial hearing on February 28th on the charges. If convicted of a class B felony, Warner could face up to 25 years in prison. However, parole could significantly shorten any prison time.
