Larchwood Woman Faces Felony Child Endangerment Charge

Larchwood, Iowa — A Larchwood woman has been arrested on felony child endangerment charges.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 28-year-old Alexys Flann of Larchwood is accused of injuring a minor.

In his statement, the deputy says Flann is accused of throwing the child to the floor, causing the child to have a bloody nose.

Flann was charged with felony child endangerment, a class D felony. If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, first offense in connection with the case, according to court documents.

She faces an initial appearance on the charges on May 21st, 2024. At last report, she remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids.
