Orange City, Iowa — A Le Mars man is behind bars in the Sioux County Jail in Orange City, facing a felony sex abuse charge.
According to a criminal complaint obtained through the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s office, 21-year-old Jesus Soto-Gonzalez of Le Mars faces a charge of Third Degree Sexual Abuse, a class C felony.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Deputy filing the report says that he talked to the victim, who says the incident took place in Hull this past May. The complaint was filed in late August, and a warrant was issued for Soto-Gonzalez’s arrest. The victim states that she was sexually assaulted as she did not give consent to the contact with Soto-Gonzalez.
Soto-Gonzalez was located and was arrested this Thursday, September 15, 2022. At last report, no court dates had yet been set in the case.
