Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill People And Blow Up A Lakes Area Business

Spirit Lake, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man was taken into custody after allegedly threatening to shoot and kill people and then blow up a convenience store just west of Spirit Lake.

A criminal complaint filed by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office charges 43-year-old Darin Naatjes with terrorism…1st offense, and trespassing. The document states that Naatjes allegedly refused to leave the premises after being told several times to do so. The incident is alleged to have taken place on Friday.

Naatjes was arrested and was booked into the Dickinson County jail on a $10,000 bond.
