Manhunt Yields Results

brennen-rothSioux County, Iowa — Earlier this week we told you about the search that Sioux County Sheriff’s Deputies were conducting to locate a burglary suspect.  Now, that suspect has been apprehended.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Wednesday morning (November 30th) at 11:04 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year old Brennen Roth, of Hartley.

Chief Deputy Nate Huizenga says the arrest stemmed from a report of a suspicious person on a farm property on Goldfinch Avenue, three miles northwest of Sioux Center.

Upon further investigation deputies say they discovered that Roth had entered a building on the property, and when confronted by the resident, he fled the area on foot, triggering a manhunt that lasted for about 4 hours before Roth was located and arrested on a Trespassing charge.
