Maurice, Iowa — A 45-year old Maurice man faces a pair of charges following his arrest Tuesday evening about 8:15.
According to Sioux County authorities, the arrest of Chad Nelson stemmed from a report of a theft at a convenience store in Maurice.
Deputies say their investigation into the reported theft revealed that Nelson had allegedly stolen over $3-thousand in cash and property from the store over the period of about a month.
Nelson was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Theft, a Class “D” Felony, and Criminal Trespass, a Serious Misdemeanor.
At last report, Nelson was being held in the Sioux County Jail at Orange City.
