Sibley, Iowa — An 18-year-old Michigan female has been charged with Attempted Murder and other charges, in connection with a December 2nd incident in Sibley.
According to court records, 18-year-old Veronica Peckens of Lake Ann, Michigan, is accused of stabbing a Sibley female multiple times in the eyelid and attempting to cut the victim’s throat several times, at a Sibley residence.
Court records indicate that Peckens is charged with Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony; Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony; and Assault With Intent To Inflict Serious Injury, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, in connection with the incident.
The charges against Peckens were filed earlier this week.
She’s scheduled to be in court in Sibley on February 15th to answer to the charges.
