Orange City Teen Taken To Hospital After Accident

Orange City, Iowa– An Orange City teen was taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City on Monday, June 3, 2024.

The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 12:10 p.m., 83-year-old Ronald Zelewski of Orange City was driving a 2016 Chevrolet eastbound on 2nd Street NE in Orange City. They tell us that 16-year-old Annalise Elliott of Orange City was northbound on Boston Avenue NE in a 2011 Buick.

The report says that it was determined that Zelewski did not yield the right of way upon entering the uncontrolled intersection and the vehicles collided.

The Orange City Ambulance took Elliott to Orange City Health System Hospital.

Zelewski’s Chevrolet sustained $2500 in damages, and Elliott’s Buick sustained $2000 in damages.

Zelewski was charged with failure to yield upon approaching an uncontrolled intersection.
