Orange City, Iowa– An Orange City woman was taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 5:40 p.m., 32-year-old Kristen Korver of Orange City was driving a 2018 Chrysler northbound on Jackson Avenue in far northern Orange City. They tell us that 31-year-old Samantha Hoebelheinrich of Orange City was northbound on Jackson in front of Korver in a 2020 Buick.
The report says that Hoebelheinrich had stopped in traffic, intending to turn west onto 18th Street Northwest, when Korver struck her vehicle from behind.
The Orange City Ambulance took Hoebelheinrich to Orange City Health System Hospital. Korver reported no injuries.
The vehicles sustained an estimated $5000 in damage each.
Korver was charged with following too closely.
