Sibley, Iowa — A Little Rock man was able to miss hitting a cat with his pickup, but not a parked minivan, in an accident that happened Wednesday, October 28th in Sibley.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, about 6:40 Wednesday morning, 30-year old Joseph Michael Pedersen, of Little Rock, was eastbound on 7th Street in Sibley in a 1991 Chevrolet pickup when a cat ran out in front of him. Pedersen told deputies he avoided the cat, but failed to see a legally parked 1999 Ford Windstar minivan belonging to James Wasmund of Sibley. Deputies say Pedersen’s pickup struck the Windstar in the rear driver’s side, causing about $3,000 in damage. Damage to Pedersen’s pickup were estimated at $2,500.
There were no injuries reported.
