Primghar, Iowa — A Primghar teen was taken to the hospital after an accident near Primghar on Friday, December 27, 2019.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:30 a.m., 16-year-old Paije Bergstrom of Primghar was driving a 2003 Saturn westbound on 390th Street north of Primghar.
The report says that Bergstrom moved to the side of the road to meet an oncoming vehicle. It says she lost control and the car began to fishtail and entered the north ditch causing it to overturn. The officer noted that “speed and inexperience may have contributed to the accident.”
An ambulance took Bergstrom to Baum Harmon Mercy One Hospital in Primghar.
Bergstrom’s Saturn sustained about $5000 in damages.
