Rock Rapids, Iowa — Possession of a small amount of marijuana has turned into a felony charge for a Rock Rapids 19-year-old.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 18th, their deputies arrested 19-year-old Madison Kramer of Rock Rapids on Fugitive from Justice charges, a class D felony.
They report that Kramer has an outstanding warrant out of Minnehaha County, South Dakota for failure to appear on two drug-related charges. They report that she was transported to the Lyon County Jail to await extradition.
A check of Minnehaha County warrants indicates that Kramer was wanted on charges of Possession of Marijuana, two ounces or less and for failure to appear on the same charge. Bond on the original charge was set at $175 cash only, with bond on the failure to appear charge set at $525 cash or surety. The original charge was entered in September, with the warrant for the failure to appear charge being entered October 29th.
