Rock Valley man jailed for possession of child pornography

Rock Valley, Iowa – A Rock Valley man was jailed this past Thursday on charges of possession of child pornography.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us the arrest of 24-year-old Jesus Emmanuel Aranda-Martinez of Rock Valley stemmed from information received through the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. It is alleged that Aranda-Martinez downloaded child pornography. Upon further investigation by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at Aranda-Martinez’ home, where it is alleged child sexual abuse material was discovered in his possession.

Aranda-Martinez was transported to the Sioux County Jail, where he was charged with 17 counts of possession of a minor engaged in sex acts, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison per count, for a total of 85 years.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
