Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was taken to a hospital after an accident north of Rock Valley on Sunday night.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:10 p.m., 16-year-old Samantha Husaboe of Rock Valley was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Delta 88 southbound on Elmwood Avenue, a mile north of Rock Valley when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Husaboe to Hegg Health Center Hospital in Rock Valley.
They tell us the Oldsmobile sustained about $4,000 in damage. Husaboe was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Rock Valley Ambulance Squad, Rock Valley Fire Department, and the Rock Valley Police Department assisted them with the response to the accident.
