Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley woman was taken to a hospital after a crash on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly after 8:30 a.m. that day, 50-year-old Alvaro Figueroa-Ramon of Rock Valley was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup southbound on Garfield Avenue, five miles southeast of Rock Valley, when he lost control on the icy roadway. The pickup entered the east ditch and rolled onto its side.
Alvaro Figueroa-Ramon did not report any injuries at the scene, but a passenger in the pickup, 54-year-old Claudia Figueroa-Ramon of Rock Valley, was transported by Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center Avera.
The Ford sustained approximately $10,000 in damage.
Alvaro Figueroa-Ramon was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the Rock Valley Fire Department and Rock Valley Ambulance squad assisted with the response to the crash.
