Sanborn Women Face Burglary Charges After Showing Video To Sanborn Officer

Sanborn, Iowa — Two Sanborn women have been arrested on warrants for felony burglary charges after an incident in Sanborn.

Criminal complaints filed by Sanborn Police allege that 48-year-old Melinda Penman and 29-year-old Kimberly Bucher entered a home and stole items in mid-October. They were arrested on warrants on Tuesday.

In his statement, the officer says both defendants showed him a video of each of them walking into a house and taking items that did not belong to them.

Penman and Bucher were both charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony. If convicted, they could face up to five years in prison.

They face a preliminary hearing on the charges on Friday, November 21st.

At last report, they remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar in lieu of bond.
