Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon boy was taken to the hospital after an accident on Friday, September 6, 2019, in Sheldon.
The Sheldon Police Department reports that about 3:25 p.m., 36-year-old Julie Jacobsma of Sheldon was driving a 2008 Dodge minivan northbound on Washington Avenue in Sheldon.
The report says 6-year-old Brady Miller of Sheldon was stopped on the sidewalk along Washington Avenue, near Sixth Street with another boy and a parent, when Miller quickly entered the roadway through the crosswalk westbound and was struck by the minivan.
SCAT took Miller to Sanford Sheldon Hospital. The report says that the officer suspected that his injuries were minor and non-incapacitating.
The minivan was undamaged. No charges were filed.
