Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Police are reporting a pair of incidents that kept their officers busy over the past couple of days.
On Wednesday, police were alerted to a burglary that happened in the 1800-block of Grant Street in Sheldon. Police say a burglar or burglers made off with a blue Giant brand bicycle, valued at $350.00.

On Thursday, police arrested a 35-year old Sheldon man on various traffic-related charges.
According to Sheldon police, Hunter Penkwitz was arrested and charged with Driving While Barred, Failure To Provide Proof of Financial Liability (no insurance), and Operating a Non-Registered vehicle. Cops say Penkwitz was transported to the O’Brien County Jail.
