Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman was taken to the hospital after an accident early on Monday, December 12th, 2022.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just after 5:30 a.m., 20-year-old Sarah Lerma of Sheldon was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 60, about a mile south of Sheldon, when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the median and rolled.
The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team took Lerma to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Damage to the Ford was estimated at $10,000.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Sheldon Fire Company, SCAT, the Sheldon Police Department, and the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the response to the accident.
