Larchwood, Iowa– A Sibley man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Larchwood on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 5:45 p.m., 64-year-old Steven Nasers of Sibley was driving a 1999 Cadillac southbound in the Grand Falls Casino parking lot, west of Larchwood.
The report says that Nasers collided with a light pole. The deputy says that while he was speaking with Nasers, Nasers stated that he was having a mental health issue and was not paying attention.
The Lyon County Ambulance took Nasers to Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids.
Nasers’s Cadillac sustained $4000 in damages, which totaled the vehicle, and the light pole sustained minor damage.
