Sibley, Iowa– A Sibley woman was taken to the hospital after an accident in Sibley on Friday, September 8, 2023.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 3:45 p.m., 53-year-old Cynthia Dagel of Sibley was driving a 2019 Dodge northbound on 8th Avenue in Sibley. They tell us that 62-year-old Dawn Staggs of Sibley was westbound on 7th Street in a 2006 Saturn.
The report says that this is an uncontrolled intersection. It says Dagel entered the intersection about the same time as Staggs. The deputy says Dagel told her she did not see Staggs until it was too late to avoid a collision.
The Sibley Ambulance took Staggs to Osceola Regional Health Center Hospital. Dagel didn’t report any injuries.
The vehicles sustained about $2000 in damage, each.
