Sioux Center Man Taken To Hospital After Crash There

Sioux Center, Iowa– A Sioux Center man was taken to the hospital after an accident in Sioux Center on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

The Sioux Center Police Department reports that at about 9:55 a.m., 27-year-old Jacob Grubb of Sheldon was driving a 2017 Ford northbound on Highway 75 in Sioux Center. They tell us that 29-year-old Torin Huisman-Stettnichs of Sioux Center was westbound on 15th Street Northeast in a 2007 Pontiac.

The report says that Huisman-Stettnichs had stopped for the stop sign and proceeded from the stop sign but failed to yield to Grubb’s vehicle.

The Sioux Center Ambulance took Huisman-Stettnichs to Sioux Center Health Hospital. Grubb refused medical treatment.

The vehicles sustained an estimated $5000 in damage, each.

Huisman-Stettnichs was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and yield.
