Spencer, Iowa — A Sheldon woman was involved in a crash in Spencer in which a Spencer man died on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 3:35 p.m., 28-year-old Michelle Schuck of Sheldon was driving a 2004 Chrysler minivan turning northbound on Highway 71, in Spencer. They say 31-year-old Alex Leewright of Spencer was southbound on 71 on a 2005 Harley Davidson.
The report says that the Schuck minivan was pulling onto Highway 71 from 13th Street Southwest to turn northbound. The Leewright motorcycle was southbound in the left lane when Schuck allegedly pulled in front of him and the motorcycle struck the minivan.
The Spencer Ambulance took Leewright to the Spencer Municipal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
