Alton, Iowa — A Spencer woman was taken to a hospital after a crash near Alton on Saturday, April 19th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly before 4:15 p.m., 27-year-old Deborah Cordeiro of Spencer was driving a 2009 Mercury Sable northbound on Kingbird Avenue two miles northeast of Alton, when she lost control of the vehicle and it rolled.
The Alton Ambulance took Corderio to Orange City Area Health System.
The Mercury sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
Corderio was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The sheriff’s office reports that the Orange City Fire Department, Alton Fire Department, Alton Ambulance Squad and the Orange City Police Department assisted with the response to the accident.
