Storm Lake, Iowa — A Storm Lake man died as part of a crash that involved three truck-tractor vehicles just southeast of Storm Lake last (Tues) evening.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway 7/C-65. They tell us 63-year-old Humberto Aladro-Valdes of Storm Lake was driving a Mack Truck westbound on Highway 7. They say 56-year-old Cedric Patterson of Roxie, Mississippi was driving a Freightliner northbound on Highway 71. The 3rd vehicle, a Volvo, was traveling southbound on Highway 71. Aladro-Valdes failed to stop at the intersection and struck the Freightliner, which continued northbound, and the Freightliner’s trailer sideswiped the trailer of the Volvo.
