Threat Made At Hawarden School

Hawarden, Iowa — A boy is charged after the report of a threat at a Sioux County school.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us that on Friday, January 31, at 3:30 p.m., their School Resource Officer investigated a threat of violence that occurred at West Sioux High School in Hawarden.

Upon further investigation, deputies believe a boy made a threat to commit an act of violence at the school.

He was charged with Harassment in the First Degree and released to his parents.
