Lake Park, Iowa — A Sibley driver, along with her two passengers, were taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash southwest of Lake Park.
According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies responded to a personal injury accident in the 1000 block of 170th Street.
Deputies say Courtnee Marco, of Sibley, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 eastbound on 170th Street, when she hit a mound of gravel on the side of the roadway and lost control, with the vehicle coming to rest in the ditch. Authorities say Marco also had two passengers with her. One of the females became unresponsive. They were all transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $250. Marco was cited for failure to maintain control.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lake Park Fire and Rescue, and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
