Orange City, Iowa– One person from Alton and one from Orange City were taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City on Monday, August 25, 2025.
The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 4:40 p.m., 17-year-old Emiliano Nuno of Orange City was driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Industrial Bypass Road in Orange City. They tell us that 52-year-old Joseph Andrulewich of Alton was northbound on Albany Avenue in a 2007 Hyundai. And 22-year-old Kleyton De Groot of Orange City was stopped at the stop sign facing west on 11th Street Southeast in a 2008 Ford pickup.
The report says that Nuno crossed over Albany Avenue and collided with the Andrulewich Hyundai. The collision caused the Hyundai to collide with the De Groot pickup.
The Orange City Ambulance took Andrulewich to Orange City Health System Hospital. De Groot was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. The officer says Nuno reported no injuries.
Nuno’s Jeep Cherokee sustained $8000 in damages, Andrulewich’s Hyundai sustained $9000 in damages, and De Groot’s pickup sustained an estimated $4000 in damages.
