Lyon County, Iowa — A Resident of Brandon, South Dakota, and a resident of Sioux Falls South Dakota were taken to the hospital after an accident in the 1800 block of Highway 9 on Saturday, October 10th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that Dwayne Roemen, of Brandon, was operating a Case IH 3288 farm tractor eastbound on Highway 9. Lisa Nafziger, of Sioux Falls, was operating a 2010 Jeep Wrangler eastbound when she rear-ended Roemen’s tractor.
Both Roemen and Nafziger were transported to Avera Sioux Falls for treatment of injuries.
Nafziger’s Jeep sustained an estimated $15,000 in damage.
Roemen’s tractor sustained an approximate$10,000 in damage.
The Lyon County sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Larchwood Fire Department, Larchwood EMS, Lyon County Ambulance, and Trackside Service and Repair.
