Hospers, Iowa — Two people were taken to a hospital as the result of a rollover accident on Saturday near Hospers.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about noon that day, 15-year-old Lara Williams of Spirit Lake was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on Highway 60 about a mile south of Hospers when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch and rolled.
Williams and a passenger were transported by Hospers Ambulance and Alton Ambulance to the Orange City Health Hospital.
The Chevrolet sustained an estimated $15,000 in damage.
Williams was cited for failure to maintain control.
The sheriff’s office reports that the Hospers Fire Department, Hospers Ambulance Squad, Alton Ambulance Squad, and the Iowa State Patrol assisted with the response to the accident.
