A Sutherland teen fell asleep behind the wheel damaged her vehicle on Friday, June 12th near Archer.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports, that at about 6:50 am on Friday, 16-year-old Allyson Sweeney was driving a 2002 Chrysler Sedan westbound on B-40. According to the report, Sweeney crossed the center line and entered the opposite ditch. The Chrysler then collided with a culvert driveway and ramped over it, landed on the opposite of the driveway and eventually came to rest. The driver stated she fell asleep.
The Chrysler received $3500 damage.
Sweeney was taken to the Orange City Hospital by private vehicle.
