Sheldon Woman Faces Felony Drug Possession With Intent To Deliver Charge

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman has been arrested on a warrant for a felony drug charge after officers carried out a search warrant in Sheldon.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sheldon Police Department, 24-year-old Sydnee Johnson of Sheldon is accused of possession with the alleged intent to deliver a controlled substance. She was arrested on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.

The complaint states that during the execution of a search warrant, multiple small baggies with a white crystalline substance, multiple scales, numerous amounts of empty baggies, and a black magnetic box were allegedly found in Johnson’s bedroom. The officer says all these items were field tested for methamphetamine and all items tested positive. He also says all the items are commonly used in selling and transporting drugs.

Johnson was charged with a controlled substance violation, which, in this case, is a class B felony offense. If convicted, Johnson could face up to 25 years in prison. She was also charged with multiple related misdemeanor offenses for other drugs.

Johnson faces a preliminary hearing on Friday, March 24, 2023.

At last report, she remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar.
