UPDATE: SUSPECT IN CUSTODY – Sioux County Authorities Seek Information In Assault Investigation

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man who is accused of assaulting another man in the parking lot of a Sioux Center business has been apprehended.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies arrested 29-year-old Noe Ramos-Morales Wednesday afternoon.

Ramos-Morales had been sought after he is alleged to have approached the alleged victim in the parking lot of Perdue Premium Pork  and confronted him about an alleged affair between the victim and Ramos-Morales wife. Ramos-Morales is then accused of striking the victim in the head with a blunt object, causing injury to the victim, according to court documents.

Court documents indicate that Ramos-Morales was identified by victims, after which authorities asked the public to be on the lookout for him.

Deputies say that following his arrest, Ramos-Morales was transported to the Sioux County Jail at Orange City on a charge of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony.

Sioux Center, Iowa — Sioux County authorities are seeking the public’s help with information in their investigation of an assault that took place early Monday morning.

Authorities say they were called to Perdue Premium Pork, a mile south of Sioux Center, shortly before 7:00 Monday morning to investigate the report of an assault.

Authorities say their investigation indicates that 29-year-old Noe Ramos-Morales, of Sioux Center, assaulted a male victim with a metal pipe or similar weapon in the plant’s parking lot. Deputies say Ramos-Morales then left the area in a maroon 2011 Kia Sorento SUV, with Minnesota license plates DWR 210. Deputies report that as of mid-afternoon Monday, neither the vehicle nor Ramos-Morales had been located.

Authorities say Ramos-Morales also uses the names of Omar Morana and Victor Martin and is known to frequent the Worthington, Minnesota area.
