Two Sheldon Residents Arrested After Thursday Morning Raid

Sheldon, Iowa — Two Sheldon residents were arrested on felony drug charges in the wake of a search warrant executed Thursday morning by the Sheldon Police Department and O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sergeant Todd Wood, officers executed a search warrant and a trio of arrest warrants at 425 West 7th Street #10 in Sheldon Thursday morning. Wood says the home’s residents, 40-year-old Nathan Ray Schuknecht and 31-year-old Ashley Marie Wichers-Heine, were arrested on warrants charging each of them with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, which is a Class B Felony. In addition, Schuknecht was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Misdemeanor Theft. Both Schuknecht and Wichers-Heine were transported and booked into the O’Brien County Jail.

Sergeant Wood tells KIWA that during the execution of the search warrant, various items of evidentiary value were seized.

Sheldon Police say they anticipate more charges and arrests may be forthcoming. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Sheldon Police Department.
