Sheldon, Iowa — The total amount collected by the 2022 Sheldon United Fund drive swelled by more than $2,200 last week.
During the first week of this year’s drive, $4,462 was collected, with last week’s total of $2,271 bringing the total amount donated to $6,733. The goal for this year’s Sheldon United Fund drive is $30,000.
To stay on track to raise the remaining $23,267 by the end of the year, about $2,327 would need to be raised each week.
Pledge cards and contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be dropped off at four different locations this year: Citizens State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northwestern Bank, or People’s Bank. Explanations of the organizations are also available at those locations. You can also mail donations to PO Box 41, Sheldon, Iowa 51201.
The United Fund will be assisting 23 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and the board members thank the businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their continued support.
