Sheldon, Iowa — With one week remaining, the 2020 Sheldon United Fund drive is within striking distance of its goal.
United Fund officials say $1,850 was donated last week, bringing total donations to $28,172 as we head into the final week of the campaign. The 2020 Sheldon United Fund goal is $30,000, which means just $1,828 needs to be collected this week to reach the fundraising goal. The drive ends at the end of this week.
This year’s Sheldon United Fund drive will benefit twenty-five non-profits in Sheldon and surrounding communities, including:
Upper Des Moines Opportunity – The office serves Sheldon residents only. Requests from Sheldon residents for emergency needs include utilities, rent, food, and gasoline for work, job searches or medical appointments.
Village Northwest Unlimited – Therapy Equipment – The Village provides opportunities to 180 individuals through residential, vocational, therapeutic and social programs. Funds requested would be used to purchase therapeutic equipment for individuals with autism.
Donations may be dropped off at Citizen’s State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northwestern Bank, or Peoples Bank, all in Sheldon. Or you may mail your contribution to P.O. Box 41, Sheldon, Iowa 51201.
Sheldon United Fund Board members thank the businesses and individuals in Sheldon and the surrounding area for their support.
