39th Annual “Blue Finger Poker Run” Is This Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa — It’s almost time for an annual tradition for motorcycle enthusiasts in the Sheldon area. The 39th Annual Blue Finger Poker Run is this Saturday, April 6th.

Janet Lohrenz who, along with her husband Kent, owns and operates K&J Cycle, says the annual event is a time to get your bikes out for the first time this season and have fun.

The ride is called “Blue Finger” because it’s so early in the year and since motorcycle riders always have their fingers exposed to the wind, they sometimes get pretty cold. But Lohrenz says the weather looks favorable this year.

She invites everyone to come along.

She says as always, registration is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 6th, and they’ll be leaving from K&J Cycle at Highway 18 and Western Avenue in Sheldon.
