Sheldon, Iowa — Some 240 sophomores from four area high schools will be taking part in O’Brien County “Career Day” this Friday, April 26th.
Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth talks about the purpose of the event.
Strouth says there are thirteen business tours lined up for the students.
He says they have added something new to this year’s Career Day.
Strouth says the luncheon speaker will be a Sheldon native.
He says the winners of the Homecoming Scholarships will be announced during the lunch, as well.
The students involved in Friday’s 3rd Annual Career Day will be all the sophomores from Sheldon Community Schools, South O’Brien, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen Union.
