$6.5 Million “Siouxnami” Waterpark Open For Business, Grand Opening Wednesday

Sioux Center, Iowa — Finishing touches have been put on, and the new water park is open in Sioux Center. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for Wednesday.

Dubbed the “Siouxnami Waterpark,” the park is run by the City of Sioux Center. The new waterpark features the only aqua zip line in Iowa, a lazy river with a rolling wave feature, three new waterslides, a climbing wall over the water, diving boards, and a life-size floating alligator. The new pools add more than 12,000 square feet of water fun. There are also accessible chair lifts to help everyone enjoy the water.

New Sioux Center Mayor David Krahling will speak at the event.

He highlights some of the features.

The $6.5 million new outdoor waterpark has been under construction the past year and is connected to the existing outdoor pool and splash area, indoor pool, and waterslides at the All Seasons Center.
