Sheldon, Iowa — Officials running the Community Blood Bank blood drive in Sheldon on Tuesday are pleased with the results.
The Community Blood Bank, Sheldon Chamber and Development, and KIWA Radio held an All-American Blood Drive in front of KIWA radio on Tuesday. Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken Ver Steeg says it went well.
Ver Steeg says the dire low blood supply situation is starting to improve, but he asks people not to let up, and keep donating as often as they are able.
He says they like to see at least 10 days’ supply on the shelves, and he tells us he thinks that’s attainable if people keep giving when they can.
