Beef Quality Assurance Training Available

Storm Lake, Iowa — If you are a beef producer and didn’t get your Beef Quality Assurance certification, there’s still an opportunity for you.

Iowa State University Extension Beef Program Specialist Beth Doran tells us what Beef Quality Assurance is.

Doran says she thinks all beef producers should take the training.

According to Doran, you can learn a lot by attending.

The “wrap-up” Beef Quality Assurance Training is on February 5th at the Buena Vista County Extension Office in Storm Lake. The program will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and features eight best management practices plus new emerging beef industry trends. There is no cost to attend, thanks to the beef checkoff, but participants are encouraged to pre-register by calling the Buena Vista County Extension Office at 712-732-5056.

For more information, you can call Doran at 712-737-4230, or check out the Iowa Beef Center website at www.iowabeefcenter.org.
