Bloodmobile To Visit Sheldon Tuesday

Sheldon, Iowa — After missing a blood drive at one of the banks in town not too long ago, due to maintenance of the bloodmobile, the Community Blood Bank will return to Sheldon this coming Tuesday, May 14th.

Ken VerSteeg, the executive director of the Community Blood Bank tells us about Tuesday’s dual-site blood drive.

He says right now they are heading into some of their most-challenging drives — those in mid-spring and early summer.

Plus, VerSteeg says more outdoor activity also leads to more need for blood due to more traumas.

If you can’t give on Tuesday, they’ll also be in the area one week and one day later, on Wednesday, May 22nd. That day they’ll be at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.
