Sheldon, Iowa — Using some resources and a bit of deductive reasoning, one might be able to deduce that a name has been selected for the new brewery and pub that is planned in the former state DOT shop on Business 60 in Sheldon.
According to the Sheldon City Council Agenda for their Wednesday, March 4th meeting, there is an item called, “Approval of Beer & Wine Permit (including outdoor service) for Breü Haus LLC, 1220 2nd Ave.” That address is the address of the former state DOT shop, which had been owned by O’Brien County in recent years.
On October 16th, a northwest Iowa company, known as NOYB, LLC. purchased the property at auction from O’Brien County for $195,000. Later, it was revealed that Tami Vander Veen and Lora Meendering purchased the property in order to start a coffee shop and brewery with alcohol sales.
