Hull, Iowa — Coincidentally, exactly one year ago, the Hull Casey’s General Store was destroyed by a fire. One year later, Casey’s corporate officials are releasing their plans for the property.
The store and gas pumps were torn down and the lot has sat vacant for much of the last year. However, dirt work started on the site recently, and today we have heard from Kendrew Panyanouvong, a spokesperson for Casey’s.
He says the company’s plans to rebuild the new Casey’s store in Hull are moving forward, and the new store is tentatively scheduled to open in late February 2024. He does say the timeline could be subject to change based a number of factors like weather and construction contingencies.
Panyanouvong says the 3,219 square-foot store will offer a three-gasoline pump island setup (six vehicles total will able to fuel up at once) and include the standard ethanol 87 fuel and a full range of non-ethanol fuel types, from 87 to 91 octane, along with biodiesel. He says, “The new store will also have available Casey’s handmade, delicious pizza in addition to our breakfast and bakery items, a full-service free-brewed coffee station, and more.”
Panyanouvong goes on to say, “We’re excited to welcome back our guests and neighbors in Hull once the store is complete and appreciate the community’s patience as we look towards rebuilding the new store.”
