Chance Of Storms This Afternoon

Most of us will stay dry on Tuesday. However, there is a risk for thunderstorms in Northeast Nebraska, Northwest Iowa, and Southwest and South Central Minnesota late this afternoon. A few strong to severe storms are expected. Cooler temperature move into the region for the middle and end of the week. No widespread heavy rain is expected, but a few passing sprinkles are possible Thursday and Friday.

A front will bring a risk for severe storms to the region on Tuesday. The greatest risk for storms will be across northeast Nebraska, northwest Iowa, and southern Minnesota. These storms are expected to become severe as they move southeast in the late afternoon and evening. Large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado will be possible.
