City Park Master Plan To Be Presented At Wednesday’s Sheldon Council Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.

On their consent agenda is the minutes from the previous meeting, the list of claims, the confirmation of mayoral reappointments to the trails and cemetery boards and the Northwest Iowa Landfill board, a resolution designating official newspapers, one designating the deposit of funds, an agreement with underwriter D. A. Davidson, and the approval of a SCAT applicant. Unless a council member requests that an item be pulled out of the consent agenda to vote on separately, the entire consent agenda will be voted on in a single motion.

The council plans to have the third reading and, presumably, the approval of the rezoning ordinance that applies to 331 North 5th and 415 West Park Street. This will also include the rezoning of the properties.

In new business, the council will discuss recycling issues with De Kruif Sanitation. They will also consider the approval of a pay application for the Western Avenue project.

The meeting will also include the initial presentation of the City Park master plan.

The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers and is available on YouTube.
